I had surgery in 2017, lift w implants. Generally satisfied with the result, but do plan on getting a revision within the next 5 years. I have pigmentation under my areola that is the same color as my areola and has not diminished along with the vertical scar. So I suspect this is areolar pigmentation. I didn't have extremely large areolas prior, but they were larger than they are currently. If this is areola, is there any treatment that can remove this thats not super invasive?

You need to talk to your surgeon about this. Usually, only a small amount dies and the rest heals in nicely. You did not post photos, so your surgeon will be the best one to talk to about your care and prognosis.
