I had fillers in my mid face 2 days ago (previous filler in upper cheeks needed some softening) and the cannulas have left long unsightly marks on my cheeks. They are pretty prominent and swollen- although not sure if it's just swelling or some filler in the 'track mark' too. I didn't think cannulas left marks like that??!! Any advice much appreciated..
Answer: It can take up to two weeks to see your final outcome. Hello, and thank you for your question. Without photos, it’s difficult to say what might be going on here. However, at just a few days after your injections, it’s very likely that you’re still experiencing some swelling and bruising. Over the next few days, you should begin to see an improvement in these side effects. If you don’t see an improvement or if these effects get worse, contact your provider.

Answer: Cannula Marks from Fillers If it has only been 2 days since you had your procedure, I wouldn't worry about there being any sort of permanent mark. It is normal to have localized swelling, bruising and redness and it should resolve in a few weeks if not sooner. If you have concerns, you should have your doctor take a look to make sure everything is normal.

Answer: Cannula Marks I love the idea of using cannula technique for fillers. I have grown to almost routinely use cannula when possible. The filler becomes deposited into a specific layer of the skin in small "droplets" and depending on the pressure and speed of injection, as well as the size of the cannula, more or less filler can be injected. I suspect any visible linear "marks" from cannula may be a sign of the filler itself rather than the use of cannula. Swelling is expected at 2 days. If the cannula was passed several times in a small region, this too could contribute to a localized swelling. I usually tell my patients to gently massage any lumps they can see (and leave alone any lumps they can feel but NOT see). Ask your injector about how to manage lumps and track marks you can see at this point in time after your treatment. Technique, type of filler, and the amount used would help me gauge the best answer for my patient.

Answer: Cannuia Marks I frequently use cannulas. At 2 days post procedure swelling and bruising can be very normal, even it it has not happened before on your previous proceduresl. I recommend giving it a few more days of healing. Of course, I can't tell for sure without seeing you. Asking for your injector's advice would be very reasonable. Good luck and good results!
