I'm interested in chin filler, Botox for master & eyebrow lift, cheek bone filler & I already have lip filler. I'm 19 years old and wanted to know if these injections are safe to do at this age because I know you have to keep up with them and Continue to get more overtime. Wanted to know any long term effects of starting this young.
Answer: Fillers and Botox for 19 year old This is a great question. At 19 your face has the fullness of youth, so fillers would be used to enhance or change the shape of features, or to correct congenital asymmetries. It is as safe to use fillers at 19 as it is at any age, provided your health and medications allow it, but over time there can be a small cumulative risk of scar tissue formation, stretching of tissues, and fluid collection. The good news is that you can try something to see if you like the effect, but don't have to continue treatments. In my many years of experience I find that people's tastes and styles change over time, and what is in vogue today will be different in 5 years, so the fact that fillers aren't permanent is helpful. I would recommend you seek out a very experienced physician with surgical experience who really understands the anatomy to talk to you about how your face will change and age over time and what your best options are now, later, and for long term. Good luck to you! Dr. Lisa

Answer: An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure A little goes a long way. Conservative treatment at a young age can preserve youthful looks over time, and I would definitely encourage mild treatments for optimal aesthetic results.
