A combination approach will give the most improvement. Fractional laser like Fraxel can help increase collagen as well as a combination of Sculptra and radiofrequency treatments like venus legacy and thermage to help increase skin tightening in this area. . Best, Dr. Emer.
Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
While we usually think of Fraxel lasers as being used solely on the face, they can treat almost any other area of the body as well. Both Fraxel Re:Store and Dual will heat the underlying collagen layer, forcing it to contract, which will also shrink the skin. The lasers stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin – the building blocks of the skin's supportive matrix. Whether Fraxel is sufficient to alleviate the sagging on your arms, however, will depend on how much sagging there is and the quality of your skin overall. This will be determined when you consult with a board-certified dermatologist who has expertise using lasers to resurface and tighten the skin.
For tightening of the skin on the arms (upper arms for example) I recommend devices like the EndyMed. Its a pretty comfortable procedure and treatments can be repeated every 2 weeks. After a few treatments you should see some tightening of the skin. The beauty of this device is it can be used in all skin types and is non-invasive.
Thank you for your question. We use a variety of laser to treat loose skin including ThermiTight and Fractional CO2. It is best to get an in person evaluation with a board-certified dermatologist.
I like to use Nd:YAG laser tightening to safely heat the skin to 43 to 45 degree centigrade and hold that temperature for at least three minutes. The temperature is monitored with a Flir thermal camera to make sure the temperature is both safe and effective. There is no pain with this procedure and no anesthesia or pain medication required. There is also no swelling or down time. We have treated 100's of patients over the past 15 years with this method of skin tightening.
Yes, after multiple sessions spaced months apart, it may tighten skin, however there will be significant downtime of 2-3 weeks with laser. For loose skin there are many devices like the EndyMed, Thermage, and ThermiTight etc.. that work better, with much less downtime. See a Specialist for solutions. Dr Davin S. Lim. Brisbane. While I don't think skiing would actually un-do the benefits of a Fraxel Re:Store treatment, it is not a good idea to expose yourself to intense reflected light (such as that from the snow) so soon after Fraxel. Even though Re:Store is a gentle laser, your skin will be more sensitive than normal...
Thank you for your question. Minocycline is not a contraindication for Fraxel, which means you can undergo the treatment safely. However, acne scarring can be a complex issue that requires more than one type of treatment to ensure the best results. We offer a wide range of lasers, as well as...
Yes...I do all of my Fraxel Repair treatments under light general anesthesia. I find that the patients tolerate this better than local and a "little sedation." Under general anesthesia, I can go deeper and with more "passes" without the patient being uncomfortable. Many times I...
Hi Lock, all fractional laser technology is similar. Not the same, but similar. The Derma K uses both Erbium (2940nm) and CO2 (10600nm) light. Although the laser light is slightly different for Erbium and CO2 the effect that it has on skin is very similar and both types are used for laser re...
I do this everyday in my practice and use eyeshields, yes its safe if don't by someone experienced. Dr. Emer.
