I recommend that my liposuction patients not return to strenuous activity for six weeks. Always best to seek the advice of the PS who performed your surgery as he/she will know the extent of your healing.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Thank you for your question. The best person to advice you will be your specific surgeon as every surgeon will have his/her own preferences as to recovery for specific procedures. After liposuction there is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery. The later phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens. It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient. I would say that after two moths you should be ok to go to an amusement park.
I generally allow my patients to resume full activity after 6 weeks.Every surgeon has a different timeline for return to full activity. I would recommend discussing this with your plastic surgeon to see what he/she recommends.Hope that helps.
I recommend following up with your Doctor about their recommendations for going to an amusement park after your procedure, however, this should be fine. You may still have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Dear viviansoto33,every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Generally speaking, it should be safe for you to go to amusement part over two months after liposuction. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question. Of it is 2 months it should be OK. I recommend you to check with your PS
Congratulations on your liposuction, viviansoto33!It’s been two months since your liposuction and most patients have healed by then, so I don’t see any reason why you can’t go on rides. But just to be on the safe side, follow-up with your reputable and board-certified plastic surgeon and ask for his go signal.Enjoy your trip!
3 weeks is simply too early. You will probably need 6 months before you can fully evaluate your result.
This is by far my favorite and most popular procedure, it gives a predictable excellent result without the pain and disappointment of the fat transfer to the buttock and will always be in fashion
