Your bra may be causing a localized tourniquet effect and enhancing the appearance of the residual swelling. Garments do not affect the final results and merely help to contain the swelling in the recovery phase. Use of a properly fitted compression garment will help decrease the length and severity of the post-operative swelling. As the swelling decreases, the contour will dramatically improve. Yes. Swelling after liposuction can take anywhere from 3-6 months to fully resolve. Sometimes longer in certain patients. Your contour will continue to change as the swelling diminishes. The garment is really just to help with the swelling. It doesn't affect your outcome. Best of luck.
