I have water blisters on eyelids below incision line. The inside corner of my eyes itch pretty bad. I’ve ready the water blisters are normal. I’m 4 days post op. Is the itchy normal?
Answer: Itchy post bleph This can happen and I tell my patients the best thing to do is to apply ice since it will stop the itching and help with the swelling.

Answer: Upper Blepharoplasty Recovery Thank you for sharing your recovery concerns and photo. Having small areas that appear to be water filled or "weeping" is not uncommon after eyelid surgery. The itching can due to many reasons including sensitivity to the suture or postoperative medication being used in the area. Eyelids heal very quickly so you should be well on your way to looking and feeling better very soon. Make sure you have close follow up with your surgeon and let him/her know if your condition changes or if you have concerns or questions about your recovery. Best wishes on a speedy recovery and great result.

Answer: Itchy eyes after bleph?? Assuming you had eyelid surgery by a Facial Plastic or Oculoplastic Surgeon, with vast experience operating on eyelids, you should not be worried. Likely this is a normal post-operative situation, or it could be that you may have a slight allergy to any ointment that you are putting topically along your incision line. Talk to your surgeon to get the definitive answer you are seeking. Good luck to you and your new set of peepers !!

Answer: Contact your surgeon Thank you for your question and photo. In many cases, post operative itching can be due to a mild allergy to an antibiotic ointment. I would recommend touching base with your surgeon to discuss the situation. Best of luck!

Answer: Itching at incision site Typically this is an early sign of normal healing. The body will bring lots of mediators to heal a skin incision sometimes this immune response will illicit an itchy sensation. Keep the incision most with neosporin and it should pass in a few days and continue to heal.
