Can something be done to change the shape of the hairline?

I have a wide forehead with the bones both sides near my hairline protruding noticeably. This combined with a receding hairline in my temples I think gives me a strong masculine look I'm not comfortable with. Maybe this could be disguised by filling in the receding hairline to the sides, but what other options beyond hair transplant are there? Including surgery and other non surgical options to look more feminine.

An SHA, or surgical hairline advancement, aka forehead reduction or hairline lowering surgery, refers to a surgical procedure that shortens the forehead by removing upper forehead skin and therefore lowers the hairline. It is more common in women because of the stability of the forehead hairline compared to men who frequently experience hairline recession from male pattern baldness. Although an FUE procedure would likely work for you, you might try non-surgical options first, including spironolactone and Rogaine.  Also, make sure that you are not tightly binding your hair with braids or when tying your hair back with bands.  This type of traction can cause hair loss as well.

Yes you can change the shape of your hair line using hair transplant. You have to make sure your hair transplant surgeon is familiar and is a specialist in hair transplant surgery. This is a very meticulous procedure and if not done right it will look bad. The direction and orientation of each recipient site needs to match your existing hair to give the most natural result.
