Hello Ysoriel,Thank you for your question and congratulations on deciding to get your first Botox treatment. As long as you do not have the treatment in the first 24 hours, there is no problem in having a microblading after that. I hope you have a great first experience! All the best,Carlos Mata, MD, MBA, FACSBoard-Certified Plastic Surgeon
Yes, I would wait at least 2 weeks to see the full benefits of botox. This will ensure that microblading occurs when your eyebrow is "lifted" so that you can get optimal shaping of your brows.
Hello Ysoriel,Thank you for this interesting question. When only having Botox we typically will quote a two week time frame after Botox by which results will be seen; "kicked in" to assess your results. If you are considering other treatments in the area in this case Mircoblading it would be best to wait at least two weeks for the Botox to "kick in" allowing the professional who will be doing the Microblading a "template" of how your brows will be settled thus allowing for a better outcome for you. If you were to do in reverse and have Microblading first we would recommend waiting 4 weeks before having Botox injections. Hope this helps.
If you are microblading to put on some brows, I would be sure that the Botox is fully functional so you can achieve the best shape possible when your brows have been lifted by your Botox.
I believe that it is ok to have the treatment 1 week after Botox. I am not sure of the exact time that it is safe because I have had a patient that had migration of the Botox when a Fraxel was done 24 hours after Botox. I used to say after 4 hours, it is ok to have any procedure. Now I wait at least a few days.
Hello and thank you for your question. I would recommend rescheduling your microblade appointment at 2 weeks post botox. It takes botox 2 weeks to see full results. Having your brows done to soon can change the shape.Hope this helps,
I recently presented a study at the Boston Meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgery comparing Botox to Xeomin. 10 patients were injected with 8 units of Xeomin on the right forehead and 8 units of Botox on the left. Selfie videos were used to document results. All patients were p...
The degree of lift you will get from Botox on your eyebrows will not shorten your forehead. A small amount of Botox should be placed on your lateral brows so that the muscles will not pull the tails of your brow downward. Once the muscles are relaxed, the brows will lift about 2mm, giving you a ...
Yes, Botox and/or fillers in combination with lasers and radiofrequency can give improvement to this area. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
We advise patients not to lay down for 4 hours following their treatment as safe practice because the Botox can spread. However, lying down for one second should not affect the Botox.
Botox can be very satisfying and beneficial in the chin area to soften the dimpling and smooth the chin when performed correctly. The lopsided smile can occur if not placed properly or if too much was used. I would recommend a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who...
