42 y/o interested in a mini facelift to correct sagging and jowls - why am I not an ideal candidate?

Hi docs, I have been to six different surgeons who say that I'm not a good candidate for a mini lift bc my jowling isn't bad enough. As much as I'd love to believe this, I see so many drs on here suggesting lifts for patients with much less aging than me. Why is this? My skin doesn't have much laxity yet, but I have definitely had fat decent and early jowl formation. When I pull slightly towards my ears, the improvement is dramatic. The empathic denials for a FL are confusing

I've personally performed deep plane minilifts on patients as young as 31 and if you truly look much better with the pull by the ear then you most likely are a good candidate for a minilift. However, if there really isn't much laxity and you don't have much extra skin, then something easier, like microliposuction in the jowl area or even devices like Ellacor. Simple things like filler in front of your jowl can visually improve the area as well.

Unfortunately, your photograph is inadequate. However, one thing that could be done would be a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.

I agree that you would nit benefit from a facelift and 42 is quite young to consider it. You can sissy’s find a surgeon to do a facelift for you but I advise against it

Only one posted photo partial view? You need to post frontal side oblique full face fuse in order to determine if a mini facelift is indicated. Based on the limited posted photo you did post I might do an anterior mini facelift with SMAS plication. Fee $5000 plus. Best to virtual consult with a repost multiple full face photos. Good luck.

Facial aesthetics are primarily determined by facial bone structure.
This is especially true for young people who don’t show up science of significant aging.
Facial bone structure is also what determines individuals who develop premature gels, loss of jawline, definition, and a premature double chin.
This often is related to a skeletal imbalance with a mandible that is small in relationship to their maxilla.To make a quality assessment, we need to see a complete set of proper pictures. This needs to always include lateral or profile views, as well as frontal views.
Mini facelift tend to give mini results and I agree with the surgeons you’ve met with. A mini facelift isn’t going to have much impact and leave you with all the drawbacks of having that procedure with that significant benefit.
 You can probably find someone to do the procedure, but when a plastic surgeon doesn’t want to take your money, you should probably listen.
