Would half a syringe per cheek give me noticeable results? (Photos)

The cheek is a broad area. It sounds like a lot to get more than one syringe split between two cheeks, however 1 cc is 1/5 of a teaspoon. So if you use that for both cheeks that means 1/10 per cheek. There will be a small visible difference, but not significant. To really make a difference most patients need at least one syringe (one cc) per cheek. 

One syringe of voluma will produce an aesthetic improvement that will produce a subtle, but measurable result.  If you are only going to have one syringe injected in your cheeks, use Voluma because other fillers do not have the same lifting capability.  Since this is completely elective and you already have nice volume in your cheeks, the other option is to use that money on your vacation.  Good luck!

This will give you subtle improvement. Symmetry and volume of the cheeks can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

ochiexx.  I appreciate your dilemma, however you do have options. Voluma can have modest affects utilizing just half cc per cheek region. However, Voluma is a bit more expensive than it’s cousin filler Juvéderm ultra plus. Your other option would be to plump your lips with Juvederm, as one cc would provided a noticeable, but natural result.  Reviewing your photos, not sure where on your nose you desire filler?  Come see me or another board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist in the city to discuss the best possible options for you. Typically patient's need 1 syringe of Voluma per side to make a noticeable difference, though you may be happy with 1 syringe total as you are looking for a subtle difference. I would recommend an in person consultation to better assess your facial structure to see if 1 syringe would make enough of a difference. Have a wonderful vacation! 

Yes you will see a difference. Will it be enough to make you happy -I do not know. If you have an injector you trust that has injected you before then contact them and ask. You can also go in - in person, and get afull evaluation and discuss where best to place the 1 cc. Good luck.

Thanks for the question. Usually a starting point for cheeks is 1ml per side. But the beauty of fillers is that you can add more as you go along. So to answer your question, if you do want a very subtle effect to begin with, you may get by with 1ml total. If not you could add more at a later date. Goo fillers usually last 12 months plus, depending on the type.

Hi and thank you for your question.  Oftentimes patients will end up requiring more than one syringe of filler to achieve the cheek augmentation that they are looking for.  With that being said, it is not unreasonable to start with one syringe because you will likely see a natural and subtle improvement - one that could very well be enough to accomplish the aesthetic result that you desire.  It is important that patients seek out the advice of experienced injectors and I always recommend scheduling an appointment to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns and how they can best be addressed injection-wise.  Your injector should be well-experienced and offer a variety of FDA approved cosmetic dermal filler products so that your results can be customized to not only meet your goals but satisfy the needs of your pre-injection facial structure.  I would recommend exploring the filler options of either Restylane Lyft, Juvaderm Ultra Plus or Voluma for the cheek region.  And for the lips I would recommend either Restylane-L, Refyne, Defyne, or Juvaderm Ultra depending on the amount of fullness you are looking for.  I hope that this helps and I hope that you have a great vacation!  

Usually one syringe alone is often not enough.  Most of the time to see a nice change, one syringe minimum to each cheek is required, but of course every patient is different. You would have to be seen in person.

You will see improvement with 1/2 syringe for each cheek and can get more later. The results of the filers directly proportional to amount of fillers. You have full lower lips and nice cheekbones and will get great results.
