It is unlikely this is causing under eye hollows, but it looks like you need some placed in that area. Keep in mind, a combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for your short and long term goals. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. I don't think filler in the cheeks caused it but in a case such as yours, I would've filled in the periorbital (under eye) as well as the cheeks and blended them in together. It's a very common problem.
No, this isn't typical and it may be that cheek fillers have made your current hollows more prominent. I suggest speaking to your injector. Well-placed filler can improve this. Hope this helps.
The lid cheek junction is a difficult area to manage with fillers alone. Sometimes placing fillers in cheek region can accentuate hollowing in eyes! An experienced injector can really help soften this area. I prefer to use Volbella in this area to soften the junction! It flows smoothly!
Thank you for your picture. The placement of the filler as wells the selection of the correct filler is very important. In your case, you have severe volume loss around your eye area to begin with and when your cheeks were injected, they should have injected or advised you to have your undereyes injected s well. Because your cheeks look better now, the eyes, look more sunken in. Happens all the time when the patient is not explained in detail the process or the patient cannot commit to a full and appropriate treatment. Your check filler looks fine, but you most certainly can use more in cheeks as well but you should address the underage hollows first with more product, likely 3-4 syringes of Restylane . Hope this helps. Best, Dr.Avaliani
It seems more likely that the hollows under your eyes was there just more accentuated now with the filler on the cheeks. you need to have filler placed in the hollows to correct the problem. that is common and do not feel there was a problem with the injectiongood luck
The simple answer to your question is yes. Cheek fillers can't cause the hollowness but they can certainly accentuate it if not placed carefully. Remember with HA fillers you can dissolve them though there is no exact science to it. Likely adding some more filler to the under eye area is your best option but as everyone says, an in person consultation for that would be recommended and always go to a board certified cosmetic doctor for the injections. Good luck!Sagar Patel MD
Hello and thank you for your question and photo.Product placement is very important. You can get the lift with a filler to the cheeks, taking some of the heaviness away from the nasolabial folds, then add some filler under the eyes to give volume to the depressed areas. Hope this helps!
I don't see that in my practice. I see that you could use filler in the periorbital area. I like to cannulas for this and my filler is Restylane. I would say a total of 3 syringes in first treatment, and then maybe one more in a follow up in 3 weeks.
Your cheek fillers look nice and they appear symmetrical. Take a little more time to adjust to the change before deciding whether or not to have the filler dissolved.
Thanks for your question. In my opinion, you should be able to have the fillers after 9 days as long as you're recovered. However, you may want to check in with your oral surgeon and/or injector beforehand. They can best advise you.
The eye area needs significant combinations to get improvement. Lasers like erbium, co2, halo, profractional/contour, or Fraxel can all be used to build collagen long term. Plasma pen is a newer less invasive option but will take many treatments and require proper skincare. Plasma Pen is focused...
