Why didn’t I see results from a brow lift with Botox after a few weeks?

Since you have waited the appropriate amount of time (2 weeks), I recommend following up with your injector to discuss your results. It may be the case that you need a small touch up dose to get the desired effect. However, depending on the degree of brow lift you are seeking, Botox may not be a sufficient solution. You can discuss your results with your injector and explore other options if you are still unhappy with your brow elevation.

ochiexx.  Hard to say without physical exam, however, in general, I use a bit more Botox (about 5 units per side) to achieve a noticeable but natural looking brow lift.  Also, placement of the Botox must be specific and accurate.  Good luck!

The amount of lift you can get with Botox is minimal.  Botox does not inherently have any lifting ability.  I would find a surgeon that also does Botox and discuss your desired outcome with them.  It may be that you are expecting too much from a procedure that really has minimal ability to lift.  

Botox can only achieve very minimal "lifting" of the brow.  It doesn't actually lift anything, but it weakens the muscles that pull the brow down, leaving the brow elevators unopposed.  2 units of Botox is very little.  It's possible you need more.  It's also possible that the injection was done in the wrong place.  Did you get any Botox injected in the forehead above the brows? If so, this likely counteracted the lift.  

Botox is able to give a conservative brow lift with correct placement. I encourage you to return to your injector for an evaluation. A touch up may help give you a little more lift. Depending on the strength of the muscle, some patients will get more of a lift than others.

At our clinic, to achieve the more effective eyebrow lift, we recommend treating the full crows feet and glabella areas. This stops these muscles from having the ability to depress down, and in turn gives an eyebrow lift. You may just need more product.  Units can be misleading as clinics dilute their products differently so 4 units are one clinic may not be the same as 4 units at another.

Typically a Botox brow lift is best achieved by treating the Orbicularis Oris Muscle (the muscle that surrounds the eye) and the muscles that create a frown (Corrugator and Procerus muscles). These two muscles contribute to pulling the brown down, so by treating them, they will relax and the forehead muscle will then lift the brow. At the very least, I like to administer 2-4 units directly into the tail of each brow and 6 units into the Corrugator and Procerus. You may just need a more aggressive dosage. Good luck! Hello Ochiexx.  I believe the dose of 2 units of botox for a brow lift was just an inadequate dose.  I think going back and having them evaluate you for a touch up is the best course of action.  Without knowing if you had your forehead injected it is tough to say.  Injection of the forehead or frontalis Muscle for fine wrinkles is fine, however, the frontalis muscle is the primary elevator of the brow.  It is possible that if the elevator muscle of the forehead and the depressor muscle around the eye are both injected they can cancel each other out.  Good luck!
