We do this frequently in our office and call it a cobra lift, we do skin removal, muscle tightening (platysmaplasty), VASER and J Plasma all to contour the chin/neck in one treatment. Best, Dr. Emer.
You may consider having Kybella injections for the anterior neck fat. You will likely need several sessions.
Unfortunately there is no magical cure for this. Continued steroids will make the roundness worse. Since there must be a reason you are taking the prednisone then you should consult with a doctor in person to go over your medical history and all. Chin liposuction will help but isn't always the answer as if you remove it and then just have it come back its not worth it!
this is a bit of a complex topic. The first step would be coming off prednisone if you're still on it. If you need to be on prednisone for medical reasons then that's a different story. With such limited information there's no way to really give you any type of accurate answer. My best guess is few other providers will respond. To give you a real answers we need much much more information. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Generally the nerve will come back. I know its scary and I'm sorry it is happening to you. My suggestion would be to talk to your surgeon. There is particular testing that can be done after 21 days (electrical stimulation and EMG testing) that will tell you if the damage is permanent or not...
Thanks for the question, but the best person to ask would be your own provider. Every surgeon has a protocol they follow for liposuction recovery and that system is generally created after seeing what works best for the majority of their patients. While many surgeons have patients wear...
Anyone that tells you Kybella is a good option is likely not able to do the surgery. The surgery is cheaper, an easier recovery (you only need to do it once) and can target the lateral fat under the jawline. There is no question it is the best option. At $2000 for a 30-45 minute procedure...
Thank you for your good question. We have used ThermiTight after chin and neck lipo many times with excellent results. I would recommend waiting a few weeks before scheduling your procedure to give swelling time to subside completely. Once the swelling is gone, you should be able to proceed...
