People have different healing times after liposuction under the chin and on the neck, so it would be important to follow your progress to determine when radio frequency treatments could be done. I would think for most people, this could be done by about 3 months. Your surgeon should be able to advise you when it would be safe for you to have radio frequency treatments done.
Thank you for your good question. We have used ThermiTight after chin and neck lipo many times with excellent results. I would recommend waiting a few weeks before scheduling your procedure to give swelling time to subside completely. Once the swelling is gone, you should be able to proceed without worry over side effects or compromised results. Make sure you work with a board-certified dermatologist to ensure you procedure is safe and as successful as possible.
give your body a good chance to do it’s own skin tightening which will naturally occur after lipo. I’d say two to three months is a decent amount of time to wait. Then I’d suggest RF tightening modalities as a secondary assistance to your skin contracture
The most effective radio frequency treatment is probably Jay plasma or thermi tight. These procedures are generally done in conjunction with liposuction. External radio frequency treatments are somewhat less effective but can still help. Each provider will have their own guidelines so check with your provider. Would be somewhat inappropriate for us to give me a recommendation on this since we did not do your surgery. For my own patients they can start within a few weeks. In order to differentiate the results from radio frequency versus the liposuction you may want to consider waiting three months. Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.
Its certainly acceptable to undergo chin liposuction three months after a BBL procedure. Liposuction the chin can be performed under local or general anesthesia, depending upon the patient's desires. For more information and many before-and-after examples, please see the video below
Thanks for the question and photos. At your age, it seems you would have sufficient skin elasticity to see the dermis conform over the new facial contour. However, if you are not fully satisfied with your result, a non-surgical method of skin tightening like Ulthera or Thermage might produce the...
It is very likely you could have loose skin after these procedures. In my practice, we almost always use a combination approach that combines fat reduction (CoolSculpting, tumescent liposculpture), with Ultherapy or Thermitight to ensure skin is tightened at the same time as fat removal for the...
Did you follow up with your provider? This is almost certainly an injury to the mandibular branch of the facial nerve. That nerve innervates the muscle that moves your lip and a muscle that pulls the corner of your lip down. If you lose the function of this muscle on one side you will have ...
I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates, but Kybella can be used as an alternative and gets better results when combined with Thermage/Ultherapy/Exilis or Coolsculpting. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with...
Alloderm (cadaveric tissue) can be used to help mask the overagressive liposuction but in the end the first thing that needs to be done is review if the issue is with scar bands or the muscle (platysma) that is showing through. For you it looks like scar bands but you would need an in person...
