What is the best procedure to get rid of my double chin? And how can I prevent jowls from appearing? (photos)

Hello I want to get rid of my double chin. I don’t want a subtle change, I want it gone. I’m not overweight, 128 pounds. I was thinking of vaser? I also feel like I’m get jowling already even though I just turned 27! Are there any preventive treatments I can so the jowling doesn’t happen so fast? I don’t think I would ever do an implant.

The double chin responds best to a combination approach. Thank you for your question and photos. Submental fat like yours can be treated through a variety of methods. Kybella injections crystallize fat cells so the body can eliminate them naturally. This procedure takes time to produce the desired result and usually takes multiple treatment sessions. Awake lipo is a minimally-invasive process that removes fat permanently from under the chin. CoolSculpting can also be used to sculpt this area when the desired results are minimal. We have some very exciting new technologies for non-invasive tightening of the Neck. Renuvion powered by J-Plasma (Cool Helium Plasma) along with liposuction can produce dramatic improvement in skin laxity and fat reduction.  This technology has produced beautiful results for correction of a turkey neck without the scar required with a traditional neck lift.  Ultherapy and other non invasive treatments for fat reduction A (Coolsculpting, Kybella) would also be an option.Price would depend on geographical location.

I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates, but Kybella can be used as an alternative and gets better results when combined with Thermage/Ultherapy/Exilis or Coolsculpting. Anyone that tells you Kybella is a good option is likely not able to do the surgery. The surgery is cheaper, an easier recovery (you only need to do it once) and can target the lateral fat under the jawline. There is no question it is the  best option. At $2000 for a 30-45 minute procedure you will be happiest to undergo a minor procedure over Kybella or Coolsculpting.

Thank you for your question, there are a few options available to you. If you are thinking of going the non-invasive route I recommend Kybella. Kybella is an injectable product that can be used to help your body to rid itself of fat cells that form submental fat. This can be used in the double chin and the bra fat area. If you are looking for a minimally invasive route I would consider having SmartLipo and Accutite. SmartLipo is an incredibly effective way to remove stubborn deposits of fat. Accutute is the newest form of precise skin tightening. Combining these two treatments will give you maximum results.
