I want both a direct brow lift (I see some people use this interchangeably with the original brow lift, I mean the one that's directly above the eyebrow) and and upper blepharoplasty. Which surgery should I have done first? How long should I wait between them? Or should I have them done at the same time? Thank you.
Answer: Browlift and upper bleph... Typically both are done at the same time, but if one was going to be done first, it would be the browlift. Then 3-6 months after the browlift, the upper lid surgery can be done. It is important to see facial specialists in this area for consultation to discuss the different methods of browlift performed with or without blepharoplasty at the same time.

Answer: Should I Have Brow Lift and Blepharoplasty at Same Time? Do Brow Lift First, Either Same Day or Later The exact answer to whether you should have your brow lift and upper blepharoplasty at the same time or separated depends on your particular anatomy. If you have minimal eye sagging, a brow lift may be sufficient to rejuvenate not just your brow but your eyelids as well. In this case, I would perform the brow lift first and then – after your lift heals and we see its effect on your eyes – either move on to blepharoplasty or not. If, in contrast, you have a significant amount of excess skin around the eyes, then I'd prefer to perform the brow lift, followed by the upper blepharoplasty, on the same day. This minimizes discomfort and will shorten your recovery period. I hope this helps.

Answer: Brow Lift Thank you for your question. Many patients undergo several treatments at the same. It is easier for you as far as recovery time and less expensive - when you get a brow lift and eyelid procedure at the same time you only have to cover the costs of the surgical room, anesthesiologist, and medications once. Plus, the recovery time for both surgeries is shorter than if you did each of them as a separate procedure broken up over time. Performing complementary procedures at the same time is not only more efficient in terms of cost and time, but also creates more natural and pleasing results. It can look unnatural to rejuvenate one part of your face yet leave an adjacent region unimproved. Both procedures can be performed together. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon. Best wishes,

Answer: Timing of brow lift and upper blepharoplasty I would always perform a brow lift before an upper blepharoplasty, whether they are performed together or at different times. Performing them together has the advantage of only dealing with one recovery period. If you are going to have them done at different times, I would wait at least 3-6 months after the brow lift before doing the upper blepharoplasty.

Answer: Forehead Lift Staging A brow lift is done to reposition the eyebrows in relation to the underlying skeleton. Lifting the eyebrows subsequently also lifts the eyelid skin. This can be done through various approaches including the hairline, within a crease in the forehead, and at the upper edge of the brow. They each have their advantages and disadvantages. The brow edge lift has the advantage of predictability and ease of operation but the disadvantage of a visible scar. A blepharoplasty is done to remove or reposition the tissue around the eyes to improve the way they look. This can involve removing excess eyelid skin, removing or repositioning the underlying orbital fat, and possibly tightening or repositioning the lid margin. Each patient is different, however, and not all patients will benefit from all of these maneuvers. A blepharoplasty is easily combined with a brow lift for further refinement of the eyelid complex. When considering a staged operation, the brow lift should be done first.See the link below for more information. A detailed examination will help delineate the best surgical option. Consultation with a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery would be the next best step.
