Endoscopic brow lift - serious nerve damage? Severe inflammation and more.

In over 2000 endoscopic brow lifts, I have seen chronic headaches occur twice.  Most often an endoscopic browlift provides relief from migraines, but migraine headaches can occur from anything, even Botox, which is used to treat migraines. These are not due to the endotine device; they are probably a result, of necessity, of manipulating or stretching the nerves that course through the muscles that need to be modified.  On both of my patients, the headaches resolved within a year, and consultation with a neurologist provided relief until they did resolve.  Gabapentin was given during the healing phase.  I'd ask your surgeon about his impressions regarding this, infections, etc. 

you need to return to your surgeon since this sounds like you have an infection. I've used Endotine devices since their inception and I've never had a problem but it is possible with any surgery to have an infection.  They should be removed. 

Thank you for your question. Endoscopic lifting procedure are less invasive. The brow lifting procedure creates a more youthful appearance to the brow and upper eyelid region. If you have experienced complications - considering most people experience minimal swelling and bruising and can usually return to work within a few days - then I would suggest you discuss with your board certified facial plastic surgeon.
