Cleaning direct brow lift incisions - 1 day post-op (photos)

Question

I had a direct brow lift yesterday. Can you tell me how long I should wait before cleaning the incisions and is it best to use just warm water? Also my surgeon has used both dissolvable and removable stitches and has said the removable stitches are to be removed 1 week after surgery. My friend who also had a direct brow lift had hers removed after 5 days after surgery. I have written to my surgeon with these questions and I'm waiting on a reply.

Thank you for your question. It is typical for a patient to have their first post-op appointment 1 week after surgery, and use both dissolvable and removable stitches. Please feel free to call your surgeon. It is best that you follow the direction of your board certified facial plastic surgeon who performed your surgery.

Hi. You will want to follow the post-surgical care given to you by your facial plastic surgeon. Is there anything in any written post-surgical-care instructions that you may have overlooked?  Since he/she has not gotten back to you on this specific question yet, best advise is just hold tight and resist the temptation to "just do something". You have Steri Strips on the wounds, I see, so best advise is to  keep everything dry, and enjoy the weekend until you get word back from your surgeon on Monday.
