It is vital that you keep your compression garment on at all times especially early in the postoperative period. Most garments have a hole cut out in the crotch you can put a pad on here and then your underwear over the garment to hold in place. I hope this helps :-)

Having your period is not a reason for not use your garment, i understand the hygiene issues but it is important use it to prevent the swollen. Remember to follow your surgeons advises.
