Recovery from BBL is patient dependent. Much of this depends upon the amount of liposuction performed and the amount of fat transferred. The results immediately following surgery will be the largest due to swelling and lack of fat resorption. The buttocks will continue to decrease in size for the first few weeks. I have observed that between 4 and 6 weeks the buttocks tend to stabilize in volume. Usually by 3 months, the swelling is minimal and totally resolved by 6 months. Don't panic! You need to give your body time heal. Swelling after this procedure can take months to subside. But absolutely contact your doctor if you are very concerned. She or he is the best person to talk to.
Thanks for your question. I certainly looks like you have gained mass since the original surgery photo. This is extremely common especially if the compression garment is not continuously warn. I recommend some lymphatic massage if it has not been done and wearing the compression garment. Remember that final results are not clearly visible for weeks to months after surgery and 4 weeks is not sufficient time to judge. Better judgement can be done at 3 months and no revision should be done earlier than that time period. Be patient and discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Good Luck and congratulations on taking the first step to new you!All the best,Carlos Mata MD, MBA, FACSBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dear changaa,I understand that you are worried about the results of your surgery. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period and there is still some swelling. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Thank you for your question.Too early to judge on the final result. You are still at the healing stage. The area in your lower back will be still bruised and swollen and this will take 8-12 weeks to settle. Wear your garment and keep your follow up with your surgeon.Best of Luck!
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well.Certainly it's too soon to know the final result, because you're still swallow. I recommend you to be patient and wait at least 4-6 months to seek for results your final results and in case you feel uncomfortable with your results look for a second opinion (always a board certified plastic surgeon)Hope this is helpful. Good luck.-
There is significant swelling after this surgery. Swelling lasts for 3-6 months maybe longer. Other things can make you look bigger too such as a seroma. Have you been for follow up to have your doctor look at you? I do think you look boxy in your bikini photos and can definitely get a better result. I don't know what you looked like pre-op, so this may be a fabulous result, but I still think you can get a better one. Give you body time to heal then you can assess if you are satisfied.
Thanks for your question. You are still healing so give it time and continue to follow up closely with yor plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns and make sure you are healing properly. Continue wearing garment, massage lipo areas, and move around to prevent complications. Best wishes healing!
Hello, thanks for your question and provided information. You're still on healing process dear, you need to wait until you have 6 months to judge results, you appear to be swollen, this can last more if you don't use your garment 24/7 or do drainage massages. Good luck!
