Today marks 4weeks post bbl and I look fatter. Why is that? I don't understand. The pictures in the bathing suit is me now and the other one is 3 days post op.
Answer: 4 weeks post op BBL. Why do I look bigger? Recovery from BBL is patient dependent. Much of this depends upon the amount of liposuction performed and the amount of fat transferred. The results immediately following surgery will be the largest due to swelling and lack of fat resorption. The buttocks will continue to decrease in size for the first few weeks. I have observed that between 4 and 6 weeks the buttocks tend to stabilize in volume. Usually by 3 months, the swelling is minimal and totally resolved by 6 months. Answer: Looking "bigger" after BBL surgery Don't panic! You need to give your body time heal. Swelling after this procedure can take months to subside. But absolutely contact your doctor if you are very concerned. She or he is the best person to talk to.

Answer: Why do I look worse after my BBL? Thanks for your question. I certainly looks like you have gained mass since the original surgery photo. This is extremely common especially if the compression garment is not continuously warn. I recommend some lymphatic massage if it has not been done and wearing the compression garment. Remember that final results are not clearly visible for weeks to months after surgery and 4 weeks is not sufficient time to judge. Better judgement can be done at 3 months and no revision should be done earlier than that time period. Be patient and discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Good Luck and congratulations on taking the first step to new you!All the best,Carlos Mata MD, MBA, FACSBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: BBL results Dear changaa,I understand that you are worried about the results of your surgery. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period and there is still some swelling. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: 4 weeks post op BBL. Why do I look bigger? (Photo) Thank you for your question. Too early to judge on the final result. You are still at the healing stage. The area in your lower back will be still bruised and swollen and this will take 8-12 weeks to settle. Wear your garment and keep your follow up with your surgeon. Best of Luck!
