Why is my lip filler presenting large hard lumps after a month?

Had 1ml of Restylane Kysse by a qualified nurse, I’ve never had filler before. Presented several lumps on lip and wet inside area of lip after, was told it was swelling and would subside. After few weeks, still lumps, sore to massage, told it was just swelling and continue to be patient. After a month, still swollen in same areas, hard and painful when massaged. I also have noticed lip volume disappearing in places, like the filler may have migrated. I have no allergies, immune issues.

There can be some swelling and/or lumps after injections which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have it reversed ...

This is either because too much filler was injected, or it was injected too superficially. Massaging the area may help, but if things don't improve over the next week then you can have the Restylane filler dissolved with an enzyme called Hyaluronidase. Make sure you are under the care of an...

H @oho5002! I would recommend waiting a full two week for the swelling and bruising to subside. If you are still not happy after two weeks, I recommend dissolving the filler with Hyaluronidase. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
