Without knowing which filler was used it can require anywhere from 1-2 years from the time of injection for the filler to be reabsorbed. If you've had a hyaluronic acid filler placed this could be removed within 24-48 with a treatment of hyaluronidase. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon
It depends on the type of filler. If it was an hyaluronic acid filler (Voluma, Juvederm, Lyft/Silk) it can be dissolved easily with an enzyme hyaluronidase. If it was a more permanent filler like bellafill or radiesse, it cannot be dissolved and other methods need to be employed to try and reduce it. I suggest seeing an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.
Dissolution time of fillers depends on the type of product used.Hyaluronic acid based fillers can be dissolved with Vitrase.Dr Karamanoukian
It would depend on the type of filler that was placed and when it was placed. If it is hyaluronic acid (HA) based (Voluma, Juvederm, Restylane, etc), it can be dissolved away with an enzyme injected to the area. This will go away usually within several minutes to hours. If the filler was a semi-permanent, non-HA material, it will take longer, cannot be reliably dissolved and might be best just to have the surgeon scrape whatever remainder away when inserting a chin implant (if it can be seen). Non-HA dermal fillers make prediction of what size of a chin implant to place much trickier. You need to be completely open with your surgeon about what exactly has been done (and injected) with your chin before proceeding with surgery.

Thank you for your question. There are some new devices but they are not time tested like Ultherapy. Nothing happens drastically and overnight and the answer is that "you will age out of the procedure" as time goes on. Ultherapy is FDA cleared to treat laxity of the skin in the lower face, ...
If your overall face (skin and soft tissue) is full but sagging, Ultherapy® may be your best option. If your face is thin, but your face is droopy, then the Thermage Thermi Tight® (or another radio frequency-based laser such as Viora®) may be more appropriate. Lastly if fine lines are your ma...
