Breasts too close together 10 days post op? (photo)

After reviewing the photos both before and after, your breasts were close before surgery and are a little closer after. It does not appear that you have symmastia which is a condition where the implants touch underneath the skin. I think the post surgical swelling will resolve over time and you will be pleased with the appearance, but it will take more time. As a precaution discuss this with your doctor to see if placing a pad or compression bra between the implants is indicated. 

Your breasts were very close together before surgery. Breast augmentation will not change this it will only enhance the size of your breasts possibly making it more noticeable. You are still early in the healing process and typically it takes 3 months for swelling to subside and implants to settle in.

Prior to the operation the distance between your breast was quite small. This will be unaltered by breast augmentation.

One could assume that if your smaller breast pre-operatively was larger, your cleavage would be more similar to your post-op results. At 10 days post-op, you are most likely still swollen.  Over the next couple of months as your swelling goes down, your implants will settle, your breasts will soften and your overall breast shape will continue to improve.  At that time, re-evaluate and I suspect that you will be even more pleased with your results. ac

Hi, from your pre operative photos we can see that your breasts were close together, but you probably did not notice it. You have a great result. Just give some time for the swelling to go down and for you to get used to the new size. They look very natural.

In your pre-op photos, your can see how the origen of your chest muscle takes off your sternum close to the midline (the location is what determines your cleavage).  This means that you naturally have tight cleavage. Thank your surgeon for a nice result.   

whether the mounds are too close together... but at this point, you must allow all of the swelling to subside and when it does, a space may be restored between the mounds.  Certainly let you surgeon know of your concerns so reassurances can be provided where needed.

Thank you for your question. I have looked at your before photo and notice that your natural breasts were already close together. After reviewing your after photo, I think you have  a very pretty result. You look great!

Implants appear centered behind the areolas, which is desired. With breasts as large as these, and nipples and areolas relatively close together before surgery, the current appearance is about what I would expect. I find this to be a nice result. Many more patients complain about breasts being too far apart. All the best. 

By the photos submitted it appears that your result was excellent.  The closeness is mainly due to the larger implants, your particular anatomy, and the cleavage "created", though it appears also that you already had a well formed cleavage.  I wouldn't be concerned.
