Had Restlyn injected by a dermatologist a week ago. What should I do about disfiguring swelling? Can it be corrected? (photo)

The redness can indicate intravascular occlusion or blood vessels compression and I suggest you see your physician right away.  This can be reversed with hyaluronidase and should be treated with topical vasodilators (nitropaste) as prevention.  Necrosis is possible if you do not see your physician and this worsens.  See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Hi there,This is not normal and I appears that you may have some type of an infection/ reaction post your Restylane. Did you go back and see the dermatologist that originally injected you? It is not cleared to me who put you on the Cipro and Prednisone. I would gently wash my face, put sunblock on and go see your dermatologist immediately about your concerns. I'm very sorry to hear that you are experiencing complications from your Restylane treatment.  While it's impossible to make an exact diagnosis without assessing you in-person, from your photos it appears that you may be experiencing an infection or a reaction to your filler.  I would recommend following-up with your dermatologist as soon as possible to discuss your symptoms - while antibiotics and steroids can help reduce some of the inflammation, in many cases the filler needs to be dissolved with hyaluronidase as well.  I hope you feel better soon!
