I have recently got a 0.5ml of restylane mostly in my top lip. I got this just over 3 weeks ago. I have always had a white outline on my top lip but it looks as though my fillers are above my lip (where the white skin is) I am wondering if this is normal and if there is anything I can do about it? When wearing make up am not really sure where my lip starts as it feels a lot higher than it looks. Do I where lip liner where the filler starts? Thanks

Hi @anla90. Hyaluronic acid facial filler products that were previously injected into an improper tissue plane can be dissolved by hyaluronidase injections. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
It seems like your injector took a wise approach in starting slow with one syringe at a time in the lips. I will often advise starting with one syringe in the lips and adding more once the initial swelling goes down and we can evaluate the results. It's much easier to add more filler...
Cleansing and cleaning of your facial skin has not affected the longevity of dermal fillers. I believe you will do well and enjoy a good results. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
