I'm from Brentwood, California. I'm not sure whether or not I have enough fat for a fat transfer, but I don't want implants. The hip dips give my body sort of a square shape, so is there a way for me to get a rounder butt with just fat? Or another alternative? Thanks.
Answer: Fat transfer for Hip dips Thank you for your photo and questions.Fat is an excellent solution for this area. You will need to be evaluated by a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in fat grafting to determine if the volume of fat you have available will address your concerns.Good luck and I hope this was helpful

Answer: Fat grafting to the hips Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you are a great candidate for waistline contouring liposuction of your flanks and lower back and fat grafting to your hips. This can greatly improve your overall shape with a smaller waist. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Could I fix my hip dips with a fat transfer? I'm 19 years old. It's a great question, but you need an in person examination to give you the exact answer. Based on your photo it appears that you don't have a lot of fat to transfer to your buttocks. The amount of fat that available from your tummy, bra roll, waist, and love handle area will determine what kind of results you can expect. Make sure you visit a plastic surgeon who is experienced with BBL in thin patients.

Answer: Improving Hip Dips with fat grafting --water assisted harvesting, prp, sculptra Yes, this area can be improved with fat transfer. Keep in mind, fat transfer technique is important for successful fat transfer. I recommend water-assisted fat harvesting which gives pure fat to transfer and combine with platelet rich plasma (PRP) to get the most viable and sustainable fat cells. I combine with Sculptra to improve final results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
