Are my breasts too wide set to achieve any type of cleavage with breast implants? (photos)

I think you will achieve a result close to your wish pic. In the picture, you can see that having the implants close in the middle makes her nipples look mare lateral on her breast… that’s the trade off. Talk to your surgeon about your desired outcome and then he/she can really discuss how you can achieve that goal in person. Best of luck!

Hello, thank you for your question. Cleavage is something that is natural to each person, getting implants can enhance the outline of your natural cleavage but not bring it closer together. Speak to your plastic surgeon about your options.

many women seek improved cleavage. Narrowing the cleavage plane can be done very carefully by a skilled surgeon. Moving the implants too far medially can result in symmastia or unaboob which is very difficult to correct. That being said, the right amount of pocket dissection and implant selection can create excellent cleavage. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

The implants need to be centred behind your nipples, so you may not achieve as much cleavage as you’d like. Based on your wish pic, your expectations may be reasonable.

I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. I think you can achieve a good look with appropriate tissue based planning. We utilize your breast measurements to recommend the ideal breast implant to achieve the correct augmentation for each patient's individual measurements.

Based on your pictures, you look like you can still achieve a great result with breast augmentation. Your nipples will still remain lateralized, which may look a little more pronounced after implants. It does look like your breasts and pectoralis muscles are somewhat wide-set, so I would discuss with you modifications to implant placement, as well as the addition of fat grafting to help give you better cleavage.

Hi. I think you can get reasonable cleavage and a nice result from a breast augmentation. But you also have to be reasonable about how much cleavage you can get. When you have an in-person evaluation, your surgeon can go over some of the nuances with that. I would recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon with good experience with breast augmentation to help guide you through the process.

Thanks for your question! I do think that you may have a two-finger gap post-operatively. It might be more than some patients, but I do think that you can still get something beautiful. Ultimately, if you wanted more cleavage, you could even consider fat grafting after your breast augmentation. Good luck!

Dear Intuitive, the before and after picture you sent looks to me like a very realistic expectation of a final result. Many women like yourself, who have laterally placed breasts, have beautiful results like this and just use the bra to give any extra illusion of closer set cleavage. Best wishes!
