I have breast tissue that is sagging below my Implant it is not much but still unattractive. Will this change as implants drop?

Hello and thank you for your question.  It is hard to evaluate without pictures but true grade 1 ptosis can usually be corrected with a lower lying implant. This gives volume to the lower part of the breast while projecting the nipple areola complex. Excess skin can be removed via a circular incision around the areola if necessary.  If implants are under the muscle they need time to settle before you se your final result. If there is too much excess skin or tissue "hanging of", or if they do not settle then you might need additional surgery.   When implants are placed over the muscle in grade 1 ptosis they are placed a little lower, filling out the lower pole of the breast immediately. There is no need for a settling period.   That said both procedures, under well trained hands, are perfectly suited to treat grade 1 ptosis. In your case it is still a little early to be worried about your end result. Your implants will most probably settle with time.Best of luck.

Your implants may "settle".  I am not a fan of that term since I like the result to look complete once I leave the operating room.  If they do not settle I would recommend a breast lift to improve the result.Earl Stephenson, Jr, MD, DDS, FACS

2 weeks is very early in the healing process and only in extraordinary circumstances would one consider intervention at this time. I would advise patience rather than anxiety.  Follow your surgeons instructions - she/he knows your situation best.  By tweleve weeks or so you will be getting an good idea of your aesthetic result.

I photo would help, of course.  You should discuss your concerns with your surgeon.  Much changes in the weeks and even months after breast augmentation.  In many cases, the lower poles will fill out over time, especially in the first 2-3 months.

Of course you need to consult your plastic surgeon for an examination and formal opinion about how much your breast implants will drop and improve the appearance of your breasts.Generally speaking it takes at least a month and often 3 months for your breast implants to reach their final position beneath your breast and nipple areola.Hopefully her implants will continue to drop and be positioned beneath the nipple areola. However it is best that you have your plastic surgeon examine you and explain your recovery and the fact that the breast tissue is "hanging off of" the breast implant
