Breast surgery 8 years ago. Is this capsulitis or just irritation?

I have had problems with my left breast since july 24z. I feel like the implant is irritating the chest muscle and I can feel that the muscle cannot relax. I have to use a breast pad to help the muscle relax. Is it capsulitis or just irritation?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Best is to discuss it with your original surgeon. You may be starting to develop capsular contracture. The capsule can pull on the muscle and cause this.

Your best option for diagnosis and possible treatment is to return to your plastic surgeon and get their opinions. Barring that, I would seek a board certified plastic surgeon in your area and get their views. Please bring any historic details from the surgery and your medical history. Bets of luck.

It is difficult to figure out your symptoms without a good examination. Yes, it could be capsular contracture, but also a variety of other things. This is probably something that will just improve over time or may require surgery in the future. I think the best course of action would be to return to your plastic surgeon for and evaluation and information about what you might expect.

Thank you for your question.  However, without pictures I cannot answer that question.   Capsular contracture may be what you're referring to and may have.  It is best diagnosed in person.
