I had a Breast Reduction/Lift in 2019 when I was 24. I am happy with the results but feel I lack volume in the upper part of my breast. I do not wish to have particular large breasts but wondered if an implant would help to improve the shape and projection of my breasts. Any advice is appreciated :)

Answer: Bellesoma Method The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Would getting small implants help to improve the shape and upper pole fullness? It is not uncommon if one has undergone breast reduction to decide later to get implants to improve superior pole fullness. That is an inherent issue in breast reduction surgery, that is with time often a patient will lose superior fullness. For sure a small implant can help improve that. It is important to discuss sizing with your surgeon. A very small implant may not have the diameter given one's anatomy give the desired shape. On the other hand a larger implant with a more suitable diameter to improve superior roundness may not be desired by the patient. The photographs supplied seem to show a very nice result and one would anticipate that a smaller implant could improve the fullness. It would also be wise to ask your surgeon if they have performed this previously. The underlying scar tissue sometimes can influence the result in this scenario.
