I am 5'4 and about 120lbs. Looking to get a breast reduction both for physical comfort reasons and as a sort of gender affirming procedure (I am a nonbinary trans guy and I generally do not like how top surgery results look at all but want to get as close to flat as possible). I have been measured and told my bra cup size is between 32DDD and 34DD, so if I got a reduction how much smaller could I possibly go, keeping in mind that I am prioritizing a flat-ish natural look? Thank you.
Answer: Breast reduction When considering breast reduction it is important to keep in mind that when removing breast tissue the blood supply to the nipple and remaining tissue must be maintained. I encourage you to begin by visiting with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation to discuss your goals and learn what you can expect in terms of results.

Answer: Chest masculinization What you are asking is a chest masculinization and the goal of surgery is to make you flat and looking like a male chested person. So the approach Is completely different in between a breast reduction (anchor incision to preserve the female shape) for women and chest masculinization, which will need a subcutaneous mastectomy and skin resection to recreate the male inframammary fold at the level of the lower border of the pectorals muscle. And reposition the areola-nipple complex to a totally masculine small size and very low position right above the fold. Chest masculinization will let a single curved incision. Totally flat. Be encouraged. Dr. Cárdenas

Answer: Breast reduction Dear voxpraxis1028, breast reduction is best suited for women who wish to decrease the size of their breasts. While there are different techniques used to perform this surgery, I prefer the vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern, which reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. I also use a SAFE liposuction technique to reduce additional fat around the stubborn axilla area and bra line. This way, my patients are achieving beautiful results with minimal incisions which reduces downtime and delivers an overall better breast shape long term.If you are considering breast reduction surgery, you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and make sure your surgeon understands your goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Can I get a breast reduction if I am currently cup size 32DDD/34DD? If so, how small can I go? Decisions about breast reduction are typically based on factors like physical discomfort and personal preference rather than a specific cup size. Consult with a skilled plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and determine a size that aligns with your overall health and satisfaction. They can provide guidance on what is realistic and achievable based on your individual circumstances.

Answer: Breast reduction Common cup size reductions in breast reductions usually get you down into the C cup range and sometimes maybe even a bit smaller. It depends on each patients anatomy and breast shape/size. Many times, I add liposuction to the lateral breast/axilla to remove even more of the side boob. Best wishes. Dr. Taranow
