Breast reduction, breast lift or small implants? (Photo)

Question

Can I achieve the look of my wish pics with a breast reduction or a breast lift or do I need to add small implant to the procedure ? I want to avoid implants if possible but If the results can't be achieved without then I will add implants . I am okay with the size of my boobs in a tight bikini ( third picture ) but as I soon as I take it off it sags so much and they look 3x bigger . Which procedure would be the best for me?

The technique I recommend is a breast lift using The Bellesoma Method.  This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.  Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.  Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.  Implants are not lifetime devices.  8% fail within the first year and 30% fail within six years.  Fat transfers are permanent and incorporated into the body.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

You are a good candidate for a breast lift without the need for implants. Your current volume will allow you to have the results in your goal photos. The type of lift is best determined together with your surgeon after an evaluation of your breast tissues in person.

Hello, thank you for your question. You are an optimal candidate for breast reduction surgery as your breast size is disproportionately large compared to the rest of your body frame. The surgery will also help to reshape and recontour your breasts. Very large breasts have the natural tendency to sag or hang low, so breast reduction surgery will lift them up and help them look perkier under tight clothing. The gram amount is dependent upon the density of the breast tissue and the volume removed. No direct correlation exists with cup sizes.

Dear Julx,Thank you for sharing your question and photos.  From looking at your photos, I think you may be a good candidate for a breast lift (mastopexy). A breast lift removes some extra skin and breast tissue in the bottom of your breast while lifting the breast and placing the nipples in a more youthful position on the breasts.  Depending on the exam, you could also choose to use your own breast tissue to augment your breast, meaning instead of removing it, the breast tissue can be rearranged to create a more youthful, fuller, and lifted appearance of your breast, without using implants. You are perfect candidate for a breast lift. Even without removing breast tissue your breasts will end up seeming smaller than they do now. I don’t think an implant is needed which is good because implants complicate the procedure considerably.

my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity.
If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Sounds like if you’re happy with  volume, but don’t like the sagging as then a breast lift is all you may need.  The procedure is easy to do, and can be performed in the office, with very little downtime or pain.

Hello,If you are happy with your breast volume, then the procedure you’d benefit from is a breast lift.A breast lift keeps you breast volume, but lifts it up onto the chest and lifts the nipple position as well.This can be performed with some variant of internal support (such as an internal bra), and/or complimented with fat grafting to improve volume in the upper pole and cleavage area.An implant will add volume and will also improve volume in the upper portion of the breast. You could do this if you’d like, but I don’t think it’s necessary given your goals.

Thank you for sharing your photos! If you just want to go bigger, the only way to do that is with implants or even fat grafting which is the newest technique for you to enlarge your breasts without resorting to implants! Specially prepared fat taken from another part of the body, such as the stomach or hips, is placed under the breast tissue to provide increased breast size without the need for artificial implants. The technique is called autologous fat transfers and autologous simply means "your own."  However, this technique will not get you to a size D, for that you will need implants.  Implants can not only increase your breast size but also provide a bit of a lift.  If you're looking for perkiness and an improved shape to your areolar and nipples, you will need  a lift —but if you also want more volume, you will also need an implant to increase your breast size. A breast lift raises droopy breasts from one to several inches and excess skin is removed. These are some of the factors I weigh with my patients when evaluating what type of procedure to do. I suggest making an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon who can explain in detail to you what your options are.
