Breast reduction 1 month post-op: incision open at T-Junction with seroma. Office closed for Covid-19. Suggestions? (Photos)

Question

Since I "already have a surgeon"--who won't see me in person due to COVID-19 and he closed his office--every other plastic surgeon I called to see if they would allow an in-person visit just says no, follow up with your surgeon. I have a problem t-junction in one breast, and a very painful seroma and possible infection in the other. I am completely stumped as to how to get care at this point, and any ideas would be hugely appreciated. My surgeon isn't even offering telemedicine, god knows why.

Your surgeon is remiss in not seeing you. It is his responsibility as you are medically necessary. I would put more pressure on him to see you, as in reminding him that you would need to complain to the Medical Board of California. I have seen a few patients of mine that needed my post op care. It's the right thing to do as it is not elective and our patients need our help.

Small seromas (marble size) will absorb on their own. This process takes roughly a month on average, but in some cases, it can take up to a year. Seromas don't need to be treated unless they're causing problems such as pain or pressure, or if they're growing.  Continue to follow your board certified PS's wound care protocol.

so sorry to hear that, but many offices are closed due to COVID-19. You should keep your wound clean and covered. If you can't get a consult with your plastic surgeon, I suggest you to visit an ER or your PCP if you have severe symptoms.
