Ive been researching and know I may need anchor or lollipo lift. I was wondering is there a technique used for my breast that can do without vertical scar I think I can handle the scar under my breast crese which is anchor qnd the aeriola but the vertical is that necessary. Ive been seeing great pictures of women with large breast like mine and I dnt see that vertical scar.
Answer: Avoid obsolete vertical scar technique The Ultimate Breast LiftTM is a new technique designed to avoid the ugly vertical scars of the traditional anchor or lollipop incisions. This technique reshapes your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness, elevates them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Aligning the areola and breast tissue over the bony prominence of the chest wall maximizes anterior projection. Nipple sensation is preserved as well as the ability to breast feed. The result is stable since the weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying muscle. Many physicians state that the vertical scar is the one that heals the best. However, there is not a single plastic surgeon in the world that I know of that uses a vertical scar for breast augmentation, yet they routinely use it for lifts or reductions. Because the vertical scar is most frequently used does not mean that it is the best technique. Most surgeons do not use the no vertical scar technique because they do not know how. The best vertical scar is no vertical scar.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Lessen the Chance of Scars We prefer to use a short scar #technique, “lollipop scar” or “donut lift” rather than the majority of surgeons in the United States that use an anchor pattern lift which involve more significant #scarring. Scarring can be reduced in appearance with scar maturation products (e.g. BioCorneum or Embrace). However, we recommend beginning your scar therapy a few weeks following your surgery. It is always recommended to call and see your surgeon to discuss your concerns.

Answer: Significant breast lifts without a vertical scar There are no GOOD ways to complete a significant breast lift without the vertical scar. There are several ways to complete a breast lift without the vertical scar, but the results are all very underwhelming. Either the lift is insufficient, the scars become widened, or both. The vertical scar heals so well in most patients that it is the only great option for you.

Answer: Breast lift (mastopexy) Hi thereThanks for your question.I think it is unlikely you would be able to achieve a mastopexy (breast uplift) without using a vertical scar component.Seek some opinions in person from board-certified plastic surgeons just to confirm thisGood luck

Answer: Breast lift technique Thank you for the question and the photos. It appears you are a good candidate for a lollipop lift which minimizes scars on your chest. The vertical scar is the scar that heals the best on the breast that's why sometimes years later it may be difficult to see the scar. Using the vertical or lollipop techniques is what results in the perkier look of the breasts. Using the anchor or just the lower transverse scar techniques may result in flattening of the breast shape over time. I recommend you see a board certified plastic surgeon to get additional detailed information about both techniques so you can easily make your decision. All the best ...Dr. Khuthaila
