Do I need a breast lift on my left side or do you think new implant will help with nipple position? (Photo)

Question

Currently have 330c saline implants. Wanting to switch to gummy bear implants but have noticed my one nipple is a little lower than my other. Do you think I need breast lift on one side or will new implant help re perk that breast?

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Based on this one photo alone, it appears that not only are the breasts asymmetric with regard to shape and nipple position, it seems that your IMF fold is also asymmetric. Replacing implants alone may not solve these issues.

Due to the lower nipple placement on the right breast (left in the photo), a lift would be recommended to improve symmetry.

It is important to remember that an implant does not lift the breast.

Based on your photos, you have mild asymmetry. An implant will not correct this slight asymmetry. If this minor difference is a source of concern a small crescentic lift is an option.

As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

There seems to be a deformity on one breast and it may be due to a malposition  or a deflation  of the implant.  A unilateral lift may be needed but you really need a in person examination

Based on your photos the most effective way to correct the asymmetry is a unilateral lift. Implant exchange alone rarely raises a low nipple.
• If the difference is small a periareolar lift can work• For a larger drop a short vertical lift is more predictable• Measurements and tissue quality guide the choice• Plan the lift first then select implant size and plane
