It's a personal decision that only the patient can make. In our Practice we combine these two procedures quite often (provided a patient is a good candidate). I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS
Hi there! Normally I would suggest doing the breasts first, as the recovery is a bit longer and more involved than the recovery from liposuction. But usually its the patients preference on which procedure is more of a priority to get done first! Hope that helps and good luck with your surgery!
Hello,Thank you for the question.Either procedure can be performed first but I would recommend to start with Liposuction, and then to undergo Breast Augmentation surgery.I would encourage you to seek a consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to further discuss your options, specific techniques, concerns and expectations.I hope this helps.Best regards, Dr. KaranetzDr. Irena KaranetzBreast Fellowship-TrainedBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dear melrivs22,you and your plastic surgeon should make a plan of procedures. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
The two procedures you are considering often can be combined into one surgical day. Depending on the amount and location of the liposuction you should be able to have them performed in either order if you want them separate. I encourage you to speak with your surgeon about your concerns.
If you don't want to do them together, then do the liposuction first since it is less invasive, and do the augmentation a month later. Otherwise, you may need to wait 2-3 months before getting liposuction.
Depending on how much lipo you want/ number of areas, there is no reason why you cannot have both done at the same time. Patients have breast surgery with a full tummy tuck so breast augmentation with lipo is not a major undertaking.Speak to your surgeon about the logistics. There are pros and cons but having combined surgery is usually cheaper and you only have one lot of downtime.
First, it is safe and cheaper to do both procedures at the same time. You should decide which procedure is more important to you, as well as the length of time for recovery (which one works better with your schedule).Dr. Taranow
The lipo has a little easier recovery so that may factor into the decision. Otherwise, it really doesn't matter. Do whichever bothers you more first.
Thank you for your questions! I’ll break this down clearly: (1) Submuscular (fully under the muscle): - The implant sits completely beneath the pectoralis major muscle. - This can make the upper part of the breast feel firmer and cause the implant to ride a bit higher initially. - Fully s...
I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what...
The distance between your breasts is determined by your anatomy. You may be able to have slight improvement in cleavage with a revision, but it won't be significant. I encourage you to visit with your surgeon to discuss your concerns and learn more about your options.
