Is it possible to get implants to increase from AA to A?

   This is possible, and, depending upon chest wall size and current breast tissue, may require 150 to 200 cc.

Of course, you would first have to make a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. After taking your measurements, if a small change is what you are a seeking, there are a few options for you. Choosing a small implant under the mucsle would be a nice permanent change and I would most likely recommend a silicone implant. The reason for this is that silicone has a more natural feel than saline and if you have very little breast tissue to beging with, you will feel more of the the implant after surgery.  Fat grafting is really not an option for primary breast augmentation at this time as it is not FDA approved for this purpose and long term outcomes and malignancy detection have not been studied enough. Good luck with your decision!

Yes, it is certainly possible to have conservatively sized implants.I would recommend that you try implant sizes in a bra to see what it would look like in you. I also like to use 3D imaging to visualize what the implant size would look like in actual 3D photos of you.In this way, you can feel confident with your chosen size.

Yes it is possible to insert smaller sizes of breast implants.  If you are over the age of 22, you may want to consider gel implants which have a more natural appearance as well as feel .  You can visit a board certified plastic surgeon and try on different sizes to see which you will be most comfortable with.  You can also do an at home rice test to try different sizes.

Fortunately, your desired size increase of about 1 cup is possible since there are small enough breast implants that can likely take you from a AA to and A cup. Yes to all of your questions. A relatively small implant can be chosen, but it should be large enough to fill out the full dimensions of your breast. Otherwise it will look like two small balls on your chest. I don't perform fat transfer to the breasts but from everything I understand about it, it should work on someone like you, as long as you have enough fat on your body that can be transferred.

Yes, using small implants would be the easiest. Cup size cannot be guaranteed, but when you schedule an appointment, relay your wishes to the surgeon and see if you can try on 200cc implants to see how they look.

Fat transfer can cause mammographic changes that may lead to unnecessary biopsies,depending on the radiologist that reads it.  Augmentations can be performed with implant sizes as small as 150 cc.  Hope this helps.

Because of variations in bra brands, final cup size can't be guaranteed.

I recommend you review lots of before/after pictures of people in your height/weight range and similar breast shape before making a final decision.

Your PS should respect your request for small implants. But, going "too small" is a more common regret than "too big".

Nothing is  "permanent" in plastic surgery.

Not all PS are in favor of fat injections to the breast. Get several opinions before making that decision.

Thank you for your question.  For a small breast augmentation, you can certainly choose a modest implant.  Your board certified plastic surgeon will examine you and make some recommendations based on your size goals and breast measurements.

 Since you are very concerned about not going too large, make sure you spend enough time trying on implants so that you are confident about your size choice.  You can also try the rice test at home to help determine an appropriate size (see link below).

Fat grafting to the breast is also an option.  This is still a very controversial subject in the plastic surgery literature and is a hot topic at all of the scientific meetings.  Done properly, I think that it is probably safe,  but you should definitely seek out someone with extensive experience with cosmetic fat grafting to the breast.
