4 days post op, and little concerned if they will be to far apart, and hope to have a little upper fullness as well as lower pole. Do this look okay? Breastfed to children, minimal ptosis before surgery but enough so that the doctor lowered inframmatory fold a little bit.
Answer: Closer together Thank you for your question and photograph. Your photograph indicates normal healing for just a few days post op. My strong advice is to wait a full 4-6 months before considering the final result of your procedure. That being said, your implants will not come closer to the midline. Your surgeon has correctly placed your implants behind the nipple. Best to follow up with your plastic surgeon to discuss your particular concerns. Good luck.

Answer: Breast Augmentation Implant Position Conratulations! Four days is very, very early in your recovery process. It is too early to evaluate your final results. It appears as though you may have had wider cleavage before surgery. When I have patients with wider cleavage, I always warn them that the breasts may still remain a small distance apart. We can narrow the gap during surgery to a certain degree, but it depends on the specific anatomy of the patient. It all has to do with where the muscle is attached in the middle and where your nipple position is. If a patient's nipples are widely spaced, then it looks very odd to place the implants as close together as possible (without moving the nipples). The breast fullness needs to match the location of the nipples or it can look very odd. Be sure to address your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon, who can examine you in person. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Final shape of breasts As others have stated, it is important to wait 3-6 months before your arrive at your final breast shape. In the meantime, it is best to have patience to see how things will shape out. With regards to your breasts being apart, even as your breasts settle, they are unlikely to change your cleavage. Perhaps you had wider-spaced breasts to begin with? Your baseline anatomy usually limits what we can do safely. The reason is because it would be risky to dissect a breast pocket extending medially in the hopes of creating more cleavage. The tissues there are very thin and the implant may become palpable and visible, and over-dissection can also create a "uniboob" situation (something we call symmastia) that is both problematic in appearance and difficult to fix. Hope this helps! Congratulations on your recent surgery.

Answer: Breast Augmentation Hi and thank you so much for your question! I discuss at length with my patients to anticipate it will take approximately 3-4 months for their breasts to settle into their position. Four days is very early post op, and you will likely have significant swelling. I would suggest discussing your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon.
