Breast augmentation while attending college: is a week enough for recovery time?

A full week of recovery is enough time before you resume your daily school routine.  For 4-6 weeks, you will want to refrain from any heavy lifting, pushing or pulling to prevent complications with your recovery process.  Always check with your surgeon during your post operative appointments.

A solid week of recuperation should be plenty of time to allow you to comfortably and safely return to your academic pursuits. Short bike rides around campus should be OK at the 1-week mark, but it is advisable to check with your surgeon to be sure.

Hello and thank you for your question. We typically advise our patient to take one week off following a Breast Augmentation. Carrying your backpack and riding your bike may make you more sore and tender but this shouldn't affect the outcome of your surgery.
