Can a back massage with her stepping on my back rupture my silicone 385cc implants?

Thanks for your questions.Implants are very durable and its unlikely to rupture silicon implants, however it is not impossible. Please see your surgeon if you are still concerned. It is never advised to have someone step on your back which will put that much pressure on your implants. If padded underneath the surface you're laying on they may not rupture, but no guarantees. I strongly urge you not to do this.

It is possible for an implant to rupture due to trauma however it is very unlikely for it repute from a massage.  The only way to know for sure is to get an MRI of your breasts. I would recommend to make an appt to follow up with your surgeon.

Silicon implants require a big amount of pressure in order to rupture.  Complications sometime arise and getting a thorough evaluation by a Board Certified plastic surgeon is essential. Best is to discuss specifically with the operating surgeon so that he /she can take a look.

Thanks for your question!  While it's unlikely that your implant has ruptured due to back massage, the only way to know for sure is to get an MRI of your breasts.  I would schedule an appt with your plastic surgeon and have him/her examine your breasts (sometimes they can tell through a clinical exam where the cause of your pain is coming from) and possibly order an MRI.

Hello!  While it is possible for an implant to rupture due to trauma it's not highly likely that this occurred due to a person walking on your back.  It's entirely possible that the pressure tore your capsule slightly and that is what is causing you this discomfort but if so that will heal on its own.Follow up with your surgeon.  The two of you can decide if an MRI is warranted to check on the implant but it is more than likely fine.Best of luck to you!G. It takes an incredible amount of force to rupture in new generation silicone implant. It is very unlikely that it would rupture after massage, even if they stepped on your back.

Megan.  I appreciate your concern, however silicone breast implants are extremely durable. I highly doubt that massage that you describe would cause a problem and the soreness is probably secondary to your chest muscles being sore, perhaps from a hard workout. I have seen breast implant rupture after injury from kickboxing or bad automobile accidents, but never from hard workout regimens. If the pain persists, do you see your plastic surgeon for follow-up.
