i understand why not sitting is important, and i have started to mentally prepare myself to not sit on it for the first month after my surgery to get the best possible results. but how will i use the restroom? is there a technique or a special pillow or toilet seat i have to get? and how long after the surgery would i have a follow up appointment? and how long would you suggest i stay off of my new butt for the best results?

Answer: Ask you surgeon for their advice The best person to ask about this is your surgeon, as every surgeon has their own advice. Generally, I recommend that patients don't sit for at least 2 weeks after surgery, but they can go to the washroom normally.

Answer: Sitting After Your Brazilian Butt Lift
Sitting post-operatively can damage the fat cells injected into your buttocks. Patients should avoid sitting on their buttocks for the first two weeks post operatively.
It is okay to use the restroom, as that will be necessary. The point of your “no sitting” rule basically means no sitting down on it for periods of time. But a quick bathroom trip is acceptable. Your follow up appointment should be the first couple days after surgery. I personally prefer to see my patients day five post-operatively, as they have more time to heal instead of getting into a car and coming into my office. Also make sure if and when you have to sit down, make sure it is on a soft surface, if it is not, try using a donut pillow.
I hope this answered your question, as this is a very important question. I have before and after photos and detailed information about the procedure on my website if you are interested in more information.
