Considering the use of silicone textured gel implants. I would know what are the significant advantages, of the subfascial plane compared to the subglandular plane. And the subfascial plane is more efficient if with axillary incision? (I have 240cc silicone textured in subglandular plane for 12 yrs and I'll replace them to bigger size.)
Answer: Sub fascial plane There is no significant fascia above the pectoralis major muscle to warrant the implication that this is a unique technique and in my experience there is no difference between subfascial and subglandular breast augmentation.Recent studies do seem to show that the capsular contracture rate with textured implants in the subglandular plane are less than with smooth walled silicone implants. At any rate, since your implants are already in the subglandular plane, your choices are, to stay above the muscle, or to go below the muscle.Good luck!

CONTACT NOW Answer: No real advantage to subfascial breast implant placement As others have stated the pectoralis fascia is very thin, and attempting to elevate it results in tearing, bleeding and other issues. In my opinion there is very little difference between submammary and subfascial breast augmentation. Subpectoral muscle augmentation is, in my opinion, the best option.

Answer: No particular advantage to texturized implants over smooth walled and plenty of disadvantages. Texturized implants were introduced to decrease the risk of capsular contracture. This is not appear to be the case. Additionally texturized implants are more likely to generate contour abnormalities and fail earlier.

Answer: Subfascial augmentation There is a very thin layer of tissue that covers your pectoralis muscle called fascia. Some doctors claim that placing an implant under this tissue offers a better result than just under the breast tissue. In my opinion, subfascial placement offers no advantage over subglandular placement and any physician extolling the virtues of subfascial placement is merely doing this for marketing purposes. Get at least one or two more opinions! Good luck!
