My Consult is Aug 7, and I am hoping to have the surgery by mid September so my husband can be home with me before his busy time at work. Would this be within reason or should I be planning on a later surgery date?

Thank you for your question.  Wait times between surgeons often depending on their OR availability.  Surgeons who have long wait times for consultation and/or surgeries are dependent on fixed hospital resources or rent surgical space from others.  Plastic Surgeons with their own surgical facilities have the flexibility to create more OR time by patient demand and can often accommodate patients' timelines.  @yorkplasticsurgery

smcfarla5345.  Since mommy makeover surgery is cosmetic, I assume it is not covered by Canada’s national health insurance. For that reason, there should be a little lag time from your consultation to Surgery since you are paying out of pocket. Be certain to consult with the board certified plastic surgeon in your area. The time between a consultation and surgery varies based on the surgeon's schedule.  Depending on the length of the surgery, it is sometimes dependent on the surgery center/hospital schedule as well.  Shorter procedures are often easier to schedule quickly.  You may wish to ask your surgeon's staff about availability before your consultation so you have an idea.
