Bra fat and axillary wing lipo. Do I need to have my whole back treated? (Photo)

Hi, I had done a consultation for lipo of the bra fat and axillary wing and the doctor advised me that in order to lipo those parts he has to lipo my whole back. Is this is a general facts?

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Generally speaking, it is always better to create a matching shape in adjacent zones of the body rather than only focusing on one area. This would be aesthetically ideal.

It is important to understand that when performing a liposuction procedure, the final result depends not only on the amount of fat removed but also on the amount of fat that remains in your body after the procedure. For Liposuction of the bra fat and Axillary wings you can target just those areas but in most cases Liposuction of the whole back is the best way to blend and treat everything at once. If you wanted you could of course have just the specific areas targeted for Liposuction and then if needed do the other areas. That would involve to separate surgeries and two separate recovery times and you're probably better off getting everything treated at once. Of course the choice is always yours on how to proceed.
