6 months post op mini tuck with MR. Does this look like a muscle repair and can I have more skin removed? (photos)

I am Almost 6 months out from a mini tuck (floating bellybutton) with full muscle repair. My belly button looks weird like it’s pulled to the left a little and I have A lump on my upper left side where I had A reoccurring seroma. My stomach still bulges out if I’m not sucking It in and I have Extra naggy skin still that really bothers me. Personally I think I should Have had a full tuck but my plastic surgeon seemed to disagree.

Thanks for sharing your story. The revision rates for mini tummy tuck is very high and around 50% at 3 years in some studies. It looks like you needed a full tummy muscle repair which a mini does not perform and more skin removal. Seek a second opinion from a certified plastic surgeon.

At six months post op you are viewing your final results.  Some loose skin when bending over is expected, though an exam is needed to determine if there is enough excess to remove more.  I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
