Hello. Great question. Congratulations on your procedure. It is normal to have swelling post op. It can take up to six months for all the swelling to go down.
While you are still early in your recovery it does appear that your lower abdomen is swollen. I encourage you to visit with your surgeon for an evaluation. There are numerous things that could cause this including activity level, development of a seroma, or muscle repair failure. An examination by your surgeon may help point you towards answers.
If you do not have a seroma, fluid build up, then you probably have food allergies causing swelling and bloating. Please let your surgeon check you for fluid, and discuss being tested for food allergies with your medical doctor.
thank you for your question. It might be wise to start wearing a post op garter for thd next 6 weeks to see if the swelling goes down and also have thd area tested for accumulation of fluids that are not draining.best of luck

You may be developing a seroma, which is an accumulation of fluids which should be drained in the office. It would be best to schedule an appointment with your surgeon for an in-person examination.

Hello. Great question. I am sorry for your post op difficulties. You will not need to be fully under for drainage. Keep following your surgeon's post op instructions.
You may find yourself hunched over for a few days post op; this can be attributed to a combination of repair and incision. The muscles have been irritated to a certain extent by plication and the surgery itself. I only tighten the abdominal wall to return it to an anatomic norm rather than ti...

It is a rare individual in whom the mini TT produces the best result. The mini TT would only address the skin below the bellybutton, leaving the upper abdominal wall potentially lax. With a mini TT the bellybutton is not necessarily addressed sufficiently. Would recommend that you consid...
