Candidate for Tip plasty only? (Photo)

Addressing the shape of the nose (particularly the nasal tip) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address your nose, and is particularly effective at addressing the tip size, shape, and definition! You would need a "full" rhinoplasty (instead of just working on the tip) because to properly balance your nose, address the drooping, and solidly reinforce the underlying framework to assure you get the BEST long term results, I would need to address your entire nose, not just refine your tip. Anyone who tells you otherwise is doing you a HUGE disservice!

This truly a surgery of millimeters- and it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually).

Yes, a tip rhinoplasty can be performed without changing the dorsum. There will have be cartilage harvested from the septum to create a tip support graft (SEG or columellar strut).

The nostrils become wide on smiling and it can be reduced by Alarplasty.
The tip is good actually. However, if a conservative Tip-plasty is done it can refine the tip and slightly pull it up as well.

It looks like the two cartilages that form the tip of your nose are broad, and they make the tip look wide. Those cartilages are also responsible for holding the tip down, so modifying those cartilages is what would make the changes you're seeking.

Remember that rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. The changes that your nose needs require advanced techniques, and skill that most plastic surgeons don't possess with expertise. It's much better to not have surgery than to have inexpertly-performed surgery.

It is very likely that tip only rhinoplasty may be an applicable solution in your case. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in nose surgery is recommended. Good luck.

If you are happy with your side profile and frontal view in terms of the bridge, then focusing just on the tip is definitely a great option. What you’ll have to consider is that when adjusting tip rotation and projection, it can change the side profile because everything is relative.

I agree that you appear to have a pleasing nasal profile appearance, however, your low cartilaginous bridge, just above your tip, may need to be lowered a drop as well, along with nasal tip plasty for a less bulbous and less droopy nasal appearance. Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Cartilage grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
