I'm 36 and I haven't been getting much sleep and I know I don't drink enough water. I've been working on both. However, I have had these eye bags which I've never had before for about 4 weeks. I know they were not there before and have checked recent pictures to verify. Nothing seems to work. Cold compresses allergy pills, I've tried everything and it's not making a difference. If it's from age would it come on so suddenly and severe? How can I make it go away & how long? Could it be permanent?
Answer: Two choices for treating bags under the eyes You have two different options for treating this concern. The nonsurgical approach involves placing some well-placed dermal filler in the tear troughs. The filler produces subtle volume to reverse the hollowing and discoloration you see. Results typically last 6-12 months. A more permanent solution is lower blepharoplasty. This surgical treatment removes excess skin from the lower lid, while repositioning fat below to create subtle volume. Incisions are made inside the lid or along the natural crease beneath the eye to minimize visible scarring. Recovery is 1-2 weeks and improvements can last up to 10 years or longer. No matter which treatment you choose, make sure you work with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon to ensure an optimal outcome.

Answer: Eye bags There are two options to address the under eye bags. Fillers work well by using volume to disguise contour irregularities. The treatment is done in the office and the results last up to one year. Blepharoplasty is a surgery that will give a more permanent result. Excess skin is removed and herniated fat beneath the eye is redraped for a smoother, younger appearing eye. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Lower blepharoplasty or filler Signs you show on this photo are typical for lower eyelid aging; small bulge and groove underneath (tear trough deformity). Transconjuctival lower blepharoplasty is excellent treatment for it but skillful application of fillers may help to camouflage that for some time. In person consultation with an expert in eyelid surgery is recommended. Good luck.
