I'm 36 and I haven't been getting much sleep and I know I don't drink enough water. I've been working on both. However, I have had these eye bags which I've never had before for about 4 weeks. I know they were not there before and have checked recent pictures to verify. Nothing seems to work. Cold compresses allergy pills, I've tried everything and it's not making a difference. If it's from age would it come on so suddenly and severe? How can I make it go away & how long? Could it be permanent?

Answer: Lower blepharoplasty or filler Signs you show on this photo are typical for lower eyelid aging; small bulge and groove underneath (tear trough deformity). Transconjuctival lower blepharoplasty is excellent treatment for it but skillful application of fillers may help to camouflage that for some time. In person consultation with an expert in eyelid surgery is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Eye bags are caused by herniation of normal eyelid fat. There is very early puffiness caused by normal fat around the eye. It is called herniation of intraorbital fat. Definitive therapy is surgical a Transconjunctival Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty. However you are young and I would wait on surgery. A careful Restylane injection by an experienced Oculoplastic or Plastic surgeon can camouflage the puffiness. Only 0.6 cc and Only Restylane should be used buy an experienced eyelid surgery injector.
