Is this just loose skin or do I need a revision? (Photo)

Question

I had lipo 360 and a tummy tuck done 18 months ago. I still have what feels like fat on my flanks. My doctor is refusing a revision. He first said it was swelling, then he said it was fat (I gained 7 lbs after surgery.) I lost the weight now he said it is loose skin and that there is no fat to remove. He said it would be another $15000 to remove this skin. For reference I am 5 ft and 107 lbs. I paid over $20000 for my full surgery. Is this just skin or do i nees a revision?

From the photos, you definitely need more liposuction and I would recommend the whole abdomen and flanks with the micro canulas to really get a better sculpting and more thorough job done.  It should be done under local so the doc can stand you up and fine tune it right then and there.  Also be sure to get bodytite RF and morpheus done at the same time for extra skin tightening.  Cost is probably going to run around  $10-$12,000 for quality work and it is worth traveling to get what you want and need.  Your results are typical of what we see when the doc does lipo under general and can't stand you up and fine tune it and probably using the bigger canulas as well.

Thank you for your question and photos. Based on these photos, you do have excess fat on your back, flanks and abdomen. You have asymmetrical hips due to excess fat. An exam is needed to know for sure but from the photos it appears you would benefit from some liposuction.  This would remove the excess fat and help to improve the overall contour.  Depending on the extent of liposuction needed, the procedure could possibly be done under local anesthesia.

To make an assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure, we need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures.
If you don’t have it before, and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took.
Without knowing what you look like before hand, we can’t really Give you any feedback the outcome of your procedure. 
Most people who get a tummy tuck will have some skin laxity along the sides, and possibly on the back of their body not just the front of the abdomen.
Tummy tuck removed the most along the midline, and as you go out towards the end of the incision less and less skin was removed until no skin is removed beyond the end of the scar. Enny reschedule remaining Skin laxity can be perceived as being excess subcutaneous fat.
I do not recommend assessing subcutaneous fat by pinching your skin.
Recruiting skin laxity can often give the impression that there is far more subcutaneous fat than there really is.
Differentiating between laxity and excess subcutaneous fat is not always easy or straightforward.
To get an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of your procedure, I suggest you rely exclusively on in person consultations.
For second opinion, consultations schedule doses in person visits.
Come prepared to bring with you a complete set of proper before and after pictures and copy of your operative report.
These are all part of your medical record that you can request from your current provider.Some plastic surgeons will limit the amount of liposuction done in conjunction with a tummy tuck because of safety reasons.

Most likely the fullness you are describing is a combination of skin laxity and excess fat.
Sometimes an extended tummy tuck is needed to get the right result sometimes it can be done with well done Liposuction period.
The correct choice of treatments depends on what the ideology is.
